OCEAN CITY — A Bridgeport, Pa. man was arrested by Ocean City police June 22 at 6:18 p.m., and charged with lewdness and drug paraphernalia possession.
According to a police report, officers responded to the 1300 block Central Avenue for a report of a white male exposing himself to three females.
The alleged incident occurred as the victims were walking home from the beach. The mother of two of the victims, via cell phone, reported the incident.
As the mother was reporting the incident, she was also tracking the suspect, John A. Fragale, 24, of Bridgeport, Pa., as he walked away from the area.
Based on information provided by the mother, Patrolman Teeney, Patrolman Walsh and Patrolman Ballard found and detained Fragale in the 300 block of 14th Street.
As officers approached, they observed Fragale throw an object under a parked vehicle.
That object was retrieved by an officer, and was identified as a small glass pipe.
Fragale was charged with lewdness and possession or use of drug paraphernalia and was released on a summons.
Patrolman Anthony Feamhead conducted the investigation.
