NORTH WILDWOOD – North Wildwood Police Officer Bryan Skill conducted a traffic stop at 13th and New York avenues June 8 at approximately 10:45 a.m. As Officer Skill approached, a strong odor of marijuana was emanating from the vehicle. Two passengers in the vehicle, Barrett Brown and Aryan Harris, were found to be in possession of marijuana. Further investigation by Officer Skill revealed that Brown was also in possession of “Molly” – methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA) in an amount with intent to distribute.
Barrett Brown, 26, residing in West Wildwood, was arrested and charged with being in possession of controlled dangerous substance (CDS) – MDMA with intent to distribute, possession of CDS – MDMA and possession of marijuana under 50g. He was placed on a warrant and lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center on bail set by Judge Louis J. Belasco, Jr., PJMC, in the amount of $20,000/full cash.
Aryan Harris, 23, residing in Malaga, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana under 50g and being under the influence of CDS. She was released on a summons pending court.
The driver, Christine Spaventa, 24, residing in Villas, was issued traffic summonses for driving while suspended and having an open container of alcohol in the vehicle.
