Car Crashes into Whitesboro Deck; Police Search for Driver

WHITESBORO — On Tue., Aug. 24 at about 1:40 a.m., an aqua colored Ford Mustang was traveling west on East Lena Street, approaching Route 9 when the driver failed to stop at the stop sign.
The vehicle ran up on the lawn of a single family residence, slamming into a wooden front deck. The driver then fled the area.
Neighbors who heard the loud crash immediately dialed “911,” and reported the incident to Middle Township Police communications operators.
Patrols, along with Rio Grande Fire Company, were dispatched to the scene and searched the vehicle and immediate area without locating the driver and any other possible occupants.
Police are requesting anyone with information concerning this crash, to contact the police department at: (609) 465-8700. Patrolman Ron Miller is the investigating officer.
