CAPE MAY – Captain Robert Sheehan of the Cape May Police Department reports the arrest of an individual for the possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
Michael Leo, 49, of Cape May, was arrested Jan. 24 for possession of heroin.
Leo was initially arrested by Patrolman Victor DeMusz for an unrelated bench warrant out of Lower Township Municipal Court and then found to be in possession of heroin.
Leo was charged for possession of a controlled dangerous substance, heroin, on a warrant authorized by Judge L Belasco and bail was set at $15,000. Leo was then transported to Cape May County Correctional Facility in default of bail.
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendant is considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
