Cape May County Bloods Leader Pleads Guilty to Gang Criminality, Drug Distribution

By Press Release

COURT HOUSE – Charles “Hot Blood” Daniels, 30, of Middle Township pleaded guilty Sept. 26 for one count of second degree gang criminality and one count of third degree distribution of a controlled dangerous substance, Cape May County Prosecutor Robert L. Taylor announced Oct. 1.
The charges stem from a five month long multi-jurisdictional investigation initiated by the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office in the summer of 2013 with the purpose of dismantling the Bloods criminal organization within Cape May County.
Fourteen individuals were arrested, the most significant of which was Daniels who was determined to be the leader of the Cape May County Bloods.
The negotiated plea agreement calls for Daniels to be sentenced to an aggregate 12 years in New Jersey State Prison with a six year period of parole ineligibility. He is scheduled to be sentenced Nov. 14.
