BURLEIGH – Cape May County Prosecutor Robert L. Taylor and Middle Township Police Chief Christopher Leusner announce the arrest of Emmanuel Jiminez, 31, of Middle Township, for the distribution of heroin.
This arrest was the result of a cooperative investigation between the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office Gangs, Guns, and Narcotics Task Force and the Middle Township Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit.
Jiminez was arrested on Feb. 1 during the execution of a court authorized search warrant at his residence, located in the 500 block North Wildwood Boulevard in Burleigh. As a result of the search warrant, distribution amounts of heroin were seized as well as money, suspected to be proceeds of the sale of heroin.
Jiminez was charged with distribution of heroin, third degree, possession of heroin, third degree, and possession of marijuana, disorderly persons offense. Jiminez was lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center pending court proceedings.
Taylor advises that persons convicted of a third degree crime are subject to a term of imprisonment of three to five years in New Jersey State Prison.
Taylor stated that his office will continue to work hand in hand with the local municipalities to target anyone selling illegal controlled dangerous substances.
