Burglary, Theft, Harassment, Domestics Reported to Lower Township Police

During the week of Jan. 20-26, 2008, Lower Township Police handled 777 calls for an average of over 111 calls per day.
The following are some of them:
Jan. 20:
Report of harassment at 12:40 a.m. by phone in the first block of Texas Avenue Villas, investigation continues.
Report of harassment at 11:08 a.m. in the first block of East Tampa Avenue, Villas, Citizen signed complaint.
Report of juveniles fighting in the 3000 block of Bayshore Road in North Cape May, upon officer arrival all subjects had left the area.
Domestic violence call received at 1:36 p.m. reporting domestic violence in the 400 block of Mistletoe Road, Cape May Beach. Rights were given and temporary restraining order issued.
Jan. 21:
Burglary and criminal mischief reported at 8:17 a.m. in the first block of Racetrack Drive, Town Bank. Detectives investigated and a juvenile was charged with above incident, additional suspects are being sought.
Report of harassment at 9:58 a.m. by phone in the first block of East Tampa Avenue, Villas, investigation continues.
Theft complaint reported at 10:57 a.m. in the 3000 block of Bayshore Road, North Cape May. Victim reported items were taken from Bayshore Inn late Friday night into Saturday morning, investigation continues.
Jan. 22:
Criminal mischief reported at 1:20 a.m. in the first block of East Tampa Avenue, Villas. Leaves were set on fire outside of residence. Citizen extinguished fire and investigation continues.
Theft complaint reported at 12:50 p.m. in the 200 block of Sunset Drive, Erma. Victim reported items taken from mailbox. Investigation shows complaint unfounded.
Disorderly conduct reported at 2:01 p.m. in the first block of Magnolia Avenue, Villas. Upon arrival located two family members who had a mutual fight and had received no injuries. No complaints signed but Division of Youth and Family Services notified due to ongoing issues.
Theft complaint reported at 6:57 p.m. when four male subjects ran into the Pantry One Convenience Store in the 500 block, Seashore Road, Erma and stole four packs of cigars. Juveniles located and advised they are no longer allowed in the store per the victim.
Jan. 23:
Reported criminal mischief at 11:20 a.m. to a classroom door in Lower Cape May Regional High School in Erma, no suspects at the time. Damage in excess of $200 and investigation continues.
Domestic violence with assault call received at 6:23 p.m. reporting domestic violence in the first block of Misty Lane, North Cape May, rights were given. Suspect arrested for assault, posted bail and released.
Identity theft reported at 6:28 p.m. in the 1600 block of Jennings Avenue, Villas. Theft involved the use of credit cards not applied for by victim, investigation continues.
Fire reported at 6:49 p.m. in the 500 block of Townbank Road, North Cape May. All occupants were out of house, minimal damage sustained to kitchen area. Appears to have been caused by careless use of candle.
Jan. 24:
Warrant arrest at 12:31 a.m. at Townbank and Bayshore Road, North Cape May. Subject lodged at the county jail.
Report of harassment at 3:32 p.m. by phone in the 100 block of Millman Avenue, Villas, investigation continues.
Warrant arrest at 8:29 p.m. at 1500 block of Bayshore Road, Villas. Subject was processed and released on bail.
Report of trespassing at 11:40 p.m. in the first block of Wildwood Avenue, Villas. Investigation indicates verbal harassment between suspect and victim. No complaints signed.
Jan. 25:
A driving-while-intoxicated arrest was made at 3:07 a.m. in the 2900 block of Bayshore Road, Villas.
Domestic violence complaint received at 1:22 p.m. in the 400 block of Fern Road, Cape May Beach. Harassment reported by phone, rights were given.
Domestic violence complaint received at 9:34 p.m. in the first block of Poplarwood Avenue, Villas, rights were given.
Jan. 26:
Domestic violence complaint received at 4:16 a.m. in the first block of Wildwood Avenue, Villas, rights were given. Criminal mischief rwas eported and suspect fled on foot.
Domestic violence with assault complaint received at 10:05 a.m. in the 100 block of West Delaware Parkway, Villas. Rights were given.
