Brothers Charged with Burglary, Theft

NORTH WILDWOOD – North Wildwood Police Officer Thomas Flounders, Jr. arrested Kevin Lopusan at 26th and New Jersey Avenues on warrants Jan. 30 at 3:39 p.m. Lopusan was wanted by the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Department, Camden City and Franklin Township Municipal Courts. He was lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center on those warrants.
Information was gathered by Officer Flounders, Jr. that Kevin Lopusan and his brother, Frank Lopusan, had been performing some work at a property on the 100 block W. 17th Avenue prior to his arrest. After speaking to the owner of that property, it was learned that one of the apartments had been burglarized and flat screen televisions were missing. On Feb. 1, Detective Michael Griser and Officer J.W. Garriott located Frank Lopusan and interviewed him about the burglary and theft.
Frank Lopusan, 22, residing in West Wildwood, was arrested and charged with burglary, theft, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of hypodermic needles. He was lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center on bail set by Judge Louis Belasco in the amount of $10,000/full cash. Officers from the Cape May County Sheriff’s Office found contraband on Lopusan’s person while he was being booked at the jail. Lopusan was additionally charged with possession of heroin and possession of suboxone.
Kevin Lopusan, 29, residing in Franklinville, NJ, was also charged with burglary and theft with bail being set by Judge Louis Belasco in the amount of $10,000/full cash for these charges. Kevin Lopusan had already been transferred to the Salem County Correctional Facility. These charges were served on him at that location.
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendants are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
