Brothers Arrested for Disorderly Conduct, Aggravated Assault on Law Enforcement Officer

SEA ISLE CITY — On Sept. 4, Sea Isle City police responded to a disturbance in front of the Ocean Drive Bar.
Officers observed Matthew and Tyler Fruits, both 28, of Turnersville trying to force their way past bar employees and into the bar. As officers escorted both men from the property, Matthew Fruits shoved an officer in the chest.
As officers were subduing Matthew Fruits, Tyler Fruits put his hands on one of the officer’s chest and tried to shove him back. Both were charged with Aggravated Assault on a law enforcement officer and disorderly conduct.
Bail was set at $2,500 by Judge Vincent Morrison.
