COURT HOUSE — Two brothers were arrested and charged as suspects in the recent rash of daytime burglaries in Lower and Middle Townships.
According to a report from the Middle Township Police Department, on Nov. 3 at approximately 1 p.m. detectives from the Middle Township Police Department, Lower Township Police Department and Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office arrested Eddie Rosario, 25, and Emmanuel Rosario, 22. Both suspects live in Wildwood.
The suspects were charged with 13 counts of Burglary and Theft. Middle Township police charged eight counts of Burglary and Theft with bail set at $50,000 for each man. Police from Lower Township charged five counts of Burglary and Theft with bail set at $100,000.
Eddie and Emmanuel Rosario are both being held in the county jail in lieu of bail.
A search of the New Jersey Department of Corrections website showed Eddie Rosario has a previous conviction of receiving stolen property and served 14 days in a state correctional facility in February of this year. Emmanuel Rosario was previously convicted of burglary and was released from a state correctional facility in December, 2010 after serving 18 months.
The arrests were made after the suspects were placed under surveillance after information developed from a recent investigation. During the surveillance the duo committed two burglaries on vacant homes on Goshen Road in Court House. Detectives arrested the suspects on Route 47 as they parked in front of another residence.
“They had committed a burglary,” Capt. John Edwards told the Herald. “And the police stopped them on Route 47 in Goshen.”
A search warrant was executed on their vehicle and items such as televisions, tools and electronics were recovered. Additional items were recovered by detectives from residences in Wildwood.
Cape May County Prosecutor Robert Taylor, Middle Township Police Chief Chris Leusner and Lower Township Police Chief Brian Marker commended the outstanding job done by detectives.
“It was a good collaboration between us, Lower and the Prosecutor’s Office,” said Edwards.
