This report is based on information received from law enforcement.
COURT HOUSE – On April 27, members of the Middle Township Police Department Street Crimes Unit executed a court-authorized search warrant in the first block Lacivita Drive, in Court House, with the assistance of the Cape May County SWAT Team and the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office.
According to a release, as a result, Craig Byrd, 40, and Matthew Lindholm, 40, who live at the residence, were arrested. Located in the residence was approximately 3 pounds of marijuana, 20 grams of cocaine, $12,521, a .45 caliber handgun, two shotguns, a military bazooka, and numerous items of drug paraphernalia.
Byrd was charged with possession of cocaine, third degree, possession of cocaine with intent over .5 ounce, second degree, and possession of drug paraphernalia, disorderly persons offense, and lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center.
Lindholm was charged with possession of marijuana over 50 grams, fourth degree, possession with the intent to distribute marijuana over 1 ounce, third degree, possession of a handgun, second degree, possession of hollow point bullets, fourth degree, two counts of possession of a shotgun, third degree, possession of a handgun during a CDS (controlled dangerous substance) offense, second degree, endangering the welfare of a child, second degree, and possession of drug paraphernalia, disorderly persons offense. Lindholm was lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center.
The bazooka is believed to have been taken from Iraq while Lindholm was in the military. It is believed Lindholm did not have permission from the U.S. military to bring the bazooka home. Further charges are pending an investigation into the status of the bazooka and its ability to fire a missile.
