Autopsy Reveals OC Woman was Strangled

This report is based on information received from the Prosecutor’s Office.
OCEAN CITY – An autopsy July 23 revealed an Ocean City woman was strangled in an apparent homicide.
According to a release, Denise Webber, 54, was found dead inside of her Wesley Avenue apartment July 22. 
Cape May County Prosecutor Robert L. Taylor and Ocean City Police Chief Chad Callahan announced the arrest of Webber’s roommate, Paul Kline, 49, for the charge of first degree murder. 
Officials said Webber and Kline lived together and were dating. 
Kline was also charged with aggravated assault, second degree, and endangering an injured victim, third degree.
Kline is being held at the Cape May County Correctional Center. He is scheduled for his first court appearance at 1 p.m. July 24.
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendant is considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
