VILLAS — Police arrested a 28-year-old Villas resident Wed., April 6 ending an investigation of a March 27 burglary and theft of jewelry and a computer.
According to a release, Lower Township detectives arrested Leslie Burns, 28, of the 100 block of Fulling Mill Road.
During the burglary and theft, police allege that Burns removed a laptop computer and over $7,000 in jewelry from the residence.
Burns’ arrest took place at a Lower Township residence.
He was transported to the Lower Township Police Department where he
was processed and charged with burglary and theft from a residence.
Burns was lodged in Cape May County Correctional Center in default of a $50,000 bail set by Lower Township Municipal Court Judge Thomas Hillegass.
The incident was investigated Lower Township Police Department’s Patrol Bureau and Detective Division. The investigation continues and additional charges may be filed against Burns.
