Alleged Prankster Faces Court Date

WILDWOOD – A New York man who, as a prank, threatened to burn himself and eight others in an elevator at a Wildwood motel Aug. 28 is expected to appear in Superior Court Dec. 1, according to Shore News Today
A pre-indictment conference was originally set for Nov. 3.
According to a previous Herald report, Austin Gaile, 19, was arrested and charged with false public alarm and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child after allegedly pouring gasoline on himself and threatening to ignite the liquid with a lighter. Police said the liquid was actually water. 
Gaile was also charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Gaile was lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center on $90,000 bail.
