STONE HARBOR — Three 18-year-old Pennsylvanians were arrested in connection with a Mon., Aug. 9 incident at 117th Street and Second Avenue, and charged with aggravated assault and conspiracy.
According to Stone Harbor Police, at 12:43 a.m. on that day, an 18-year-old male victim went to police to report being assaulted. He reportedly received a text message from Heather Benner, 18, of Sellersville, who requested that they meet at a designated location.
The victim told police that he only knew Benner from a prior meeting at the “shore” over a year ago, and had not been in contact since then.
The victim stated that when he arrived on location, an unknown male grabbed him from the rear, and started to choke him. At that same time, a second unknown male held a knife to his face.
When the victim attempted to swipe the knife from that suspect, he cut his hand. He then stated that he passed out, and awoke to find cuts to his hand and head injuries, which required hospitalization. The victim reported that nothing was taken from him during the incident.
Later investigation by Detective Robert Walker led to charges of aggravated assault and conspiracy against Benner and Michael Henderson, 18, of Perkasie, Pa.
Jarrett Weaver, 18, of Quakertown, Pa. was charged on warrants with aggravated assault, conspiracy, posses-sion of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
He was later arrested by Pennsylvania State Police and remanded to Bucks County, Pa., prison as being a fugi-tive from justice.
Henderson surrendered to Stone Harbor police and was lodged in county jail in lieu of $100,000 bail by Judge John Fowler.
Benner has not been located, and is believed to be out of state. A warrant for her arrest is active, according to police.
The case is pending review by the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office.
