NORTH CAPE MAY – Police officers from the Lower Township Police Department were dispatched to the area of Orchard Drive in the North Cape May section of Lower Township for a report of an assault Aug. 8 at approximately 1 a.m.
When officers arrived at that location they were advised that the suspect, Jason Brodbeck, 37, of West Berlin, NJ, had fled the scene prior to their arrival. He was located a short time later by police at the bus stop near Townbank Road and Bayshore Road and placed under arrest.
Investigation revealed that a domestic dispute occurred between Kerri Hayes, 24, of Villas, and her mother.
