2 Charged with Drug Offenses After Vehicle Stop, Search

The following is based on information received from a law enforcement agency. The person(s) named is innocent unless proven otherwise in court.
WILDWOOD – A motor vehicle stop was conducted by Wildwood police May 9 at about 1:15 p.m. that resulted in two persons arrested for drug-related offenses.
According to a release, during the course of the stop, officers detected the odor of raw marijuana from within the vehicle.
The occupants were removed and a search of the car was made. That search resulted in the recovery of distribution quantities of suspected marijuana as well as materials commonly utilized to prepare and package narcotics for distribution.
As a result of the investigation, the occupants of the vehicle were identified as Deyaa Abdul-Aziz, 24, of Bayonne, and Mostafa Mounir, 25, of Prospect Park.
Both were charged with possession of CDS, marijuana, possession of CDS, marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of CDS, marijuana with the intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of Wildwood High School, and possession of CDS paraphernalia.
In addition to the marijuana, $3,591 was recovered from the vehicle. The money was determined to be the proceeds of illicit activity and was submitted to the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office for forfeiture.
Abdel-Aziz and Mounir were each released with a summons complaint as per the New Jersey Attorney General bail reform directive.
