Crest Police Update on Pool Incident

WILDWOOD CREST – Wildwood Crest Police Department completed its investigation into the near drowning of Greg Subsizak, 34, of Fair Lawn, with no criminal findings.

Subsizak was discovered unconscious at the bottom of the pool of a motel, located on the 400 block East Lavender Road May 28 at 8:20 p.m.

Wildwood Crest Police and Rescue units from Wildwood Crest and Wildwood City responded and found Subsizak had been pulled from the pool by a motel worker and a motel guest. CPR was initiated by responding officers and rescue crews. Subsizak was transported to Cape Regional Medical Center where he was listed in critical condition.

As of this June 1 release, Subsizak is in critical but stable condition at Presbyterian Hospital in Philadelphia.

The state Department of Community of Affairs is recording data and the pool remains closed until it has passed all inspections.
