RIO GRANDE – Donations are again being solicited for hurricane victims in the Florida Panhandle, as Hurricane Michael heads toward land.
Christopher Chin, of Court House, a member of the Nam Knights of America Motorcycle Club Jersey Coast Chapter, said supplies can be dropped off at United Uniforms, located at 1050 Route 47, Rio Grande.
Other drop-off locations will be added, and the latest information can be found on the Cape May Cares Facebook page. A GoFundMe campaign has also been established for monetary donations as well.
Water, non-perishable food items, personal hygiene products, and pet and cleaning supplies are needed. Any clothing items must be new.
“This is going to be a challenge for us logistically, especially so soon after our trip to North Carolina, but we can’t just sit still and not help,” Chin said.
Details will follow regarding the trip and departure date to the impacted area, but Chin expects to head down mid- to late next week.
“If you had helped us during the Florence drive, please reach out and help us again,” Chin urged county residents. “We need your help more than ever to pull this off. Let’s show the world that Cape May cares.”
