Chill-out for a good cause

By On Deck Staff

For the third consecutive year, the New Jersey Law Enforcement Torch Run, the State Fraternal Order of Police, and the Wildwoods Convention Center will present the Wildwoods Polar Bear Plunge for Special Olympics New Jersey on Saturday, Jan. 17 at the Wildwoods Convention Center.
Plungers must raise a minimum of $100 to take a dip in the icy waters of the Atlantic, with all proceeds benefiting Special Olympics New Jersey. All plungers will receive embroidered event gifts for their participation. The event is free for all spectators.
Registration begins at 10 a.m. and the plunge takes place at 1p.m. The Convention Center will serve as an onsite changing facility for those men and women brave enough to face the challenge of the chilly plunge.
This year WOGL Breakfast Club DJs Frank Lewis and Bill Zimpfer announced they would be making the plunge.
