Changes Made To Policies and Standards for Comments

By Herald Staff

There has been a change to the Herald’s Policies and Standards for Comments, specifically dealing with rule #3.
If any user violates this rule, specifically the use of “hate speech” and the use of sexually explicit comments, not only will that user be blocked, every comment that the user has made will be removed from the system.
There will be no notice of account deletion and the Herald will be taking a no questions asked/answered mentality.
The Herald takes great pride in connecting the communities they serve. This is why these types of comments will not be tolerated. Everyone deserves a voice, and the Herald will ensure that privilege remains even if one individual attempts to ruin it for others.
This is a zero tolerance policy.
The link to the policy appears at the bottom of every article just above comments.
