Celebrate a haunting Presidents’ Day Weekend

Cape May is host to a long weekend of tours and activities sponsored by the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts (MAC) during Presidents’ Weekend, Feb. 13-15. Enjoy food and wine events, a crafts and antiques show, tours of Cape May and much more.
Wine lovers will want to celebrate with the Cape May Wine Weekend. Triple your enjoyment by combining a Wine Tasting Dinner, Winery Cellar Tour, and Wine Tasting Class for a weekend of total indulgence.
Both crafts and antiques enthusiasts will want to stop by Cape May Elementary School, 921 Lafayette St., for Crafts and Antiques in Winter on Saturday, Feb. 14 and Sunday, Feb. 15 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The region’s most sought-after antique dealers and top crafters come together for a two-day show featuring an array of handmade items, country antiques, glassware, silver, furniture and more. Admission is $1 for adults and free for children 12 and under.
On Sunday, Feb. 15 at 10:45 a.m., don’t miss the Trolley Brunch. Board the MAC trolley for a Mansions By the Sea Trolley Tour.
The ghostly side of Cape May comes alive for Presidents’ Weekend, as you enjoy the Ghosts of Cape May Trolley Tour. This trolley tour features a 45-minute evening ride through the streets of Cape May with a guide who will relate the paranormal findings of Ghost Writer Craig McManus.
The tour is offered at 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 13, 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 14 and 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 15.
The Historic Haunts Combo Tour on Saturday, Feb. 14 at 7 p.m. is a trolley tour of some of Cape May’s regal Victorian residences, reputed to host more than the living.
Then take a guided tour of the historic (some say haunted) Emlen Physick Estate.
The Cape May Lighthouse also reopens for the season, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 14 through Monday, Feb. 16, offering a panoramic view of the Jersey Cape and Atlantic Ocean.
