Candlelight tours big part of Victorian holidays

By On Deck Staff

Cape May’s Victorian landmarks shine in all their holiday finery for the 35th Annual Christmas Candlelight House Tours, sponsored by the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts (MAC), on Dec. 6, 13 and 27.
Victorian homes, churches, inns, and hotels flicker with warm candlelight and are adorned with twinkling lights and boughs of holly for Christmas.
Enjoy self-guided tours of a selection of properties in Cape May’s Historic District, Christmas caroling, strolling musicians and good old-fashioned cheer from 5:30-8:30 p.m. each night.
Warm your spirits with beverages of the season and home-baked goodies at hospitality centers.
Tour the Emlen Physick Estate, Cape May’s only Victorian House Museum decorated for the holidays and visit the Carriage House Gallery to see the exhibit “An Old-fashioned Christmas: Holiday Traditions through the Years.”
Continuous heated trolley shuttle service is provided.
Tickets are $25 for adults and $20 for children (ages 3-12). Reservations are strongly recommended.
