Boy Saved at Cove Beach Pond

CAPE MAY – A 5-year-old boy was rescued from a tidal pond at the Cove beach in Cape May Aug. 31, The Press of Atlantic City reports.
Lifeguards were alerted by a beach goer around 4:30 p.m. that the boy was lying face down on a boogie board in the tidal pond behind the lifeguard stands.
Beach patrol, city police and firefighters responded to the scene. Lifeguards administered oxygen to the boy who appeared to have taken in water and did throw up upon resuscitation, City Manager Bruce MacLeod told The Press. 
The boy was taken to Cape Regional Medical Center and his current condition is unknown.
