The Avalon Museum will host a lecture by historian Jackie Bagley on Thursday, August 28, 2008, at 7 PM. Jackie will be speaking on the artist Edward Hicks and his most well known painting “The Peaceable Kingdom.” His painting is very recognizable, but did you know there were many versions that he painted reflecting the discord among the Quakers in the 19th century.
