Sept. 13 is the date for the first annual Art for History Fine and Decorative Arts Auction for Historical & Genealogical Society.
Funds raised will be used to make needed repairs to the 1780’s barn at the Cape May County Museum and to install a handicapped access ramp to the barn.
The evening will feature hors d’oeuvres, wine and beer, and music. Live and silent auctions on works of art by local artists and on folk art objects by local artisans will be featured, including oils and watercolors, decoys, glass pieces and pottery, and more.
There will also be some special items auctioned off.
The event will be held at the Ocean View Resort Campground, 2555 Route 9. Preview begins at 6:30 p.m. and the auction will take place from 7 – 9 p.m.
Tickets are $20, but if you purchase them by Aug. 15, there is a $2 discount, a great buy for an evening out with fun, food and drinks.
Tickets are available at the museum. Call 609-465-3535.
