By Herald Staff

BRIGANTINE — A 39-year-old Woodbine man was killed Friday morning in Brigantine, according to police. They are not releasing the man’s name pending notification of his next-of-kin.
The man was a duct cleaner working on a ladder at a pizza store located at 1018 West Brigantine Ave., according to police. The man was found unconscious after apparently falling.
Police said a man who worked at the pizza store noticed that the ladder was close to electrical wires and thinks the cleaner may have been electrocuted.
The Brigantine Fire Department and AtlantiCare Paramedics transported him to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City, where he was pronounced dead shortly afterward, police said.
The accident is under investigation.
