Woman Struck Crossing Road

COURT HOUSE – A Goshen woman was struck by a vehicle and was reported in critical condition, Sept. 14 as she crossed Stone Harbor Boulevard in the crosswalk at Route 9 about 8:23 p.m. according to Middle Township police.
The investigation found that Leonard Panzini, 47, of Court House, was driving east on Stone Harbor Boulevard (CR657) going through the intersection of Route 9 when he struck a pedestrian with his BMW 328. 
The pedestrian, Elizabeth Rourke, 70, was walking north across the boulevard in the crosswalk, however, she had the red light at the time of the accident.  
Rourke had multiple injuries and was transported via medevac to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, city division. She was last known to be in critical condition, police stated. 
Middle Township emergency medical service, AtlantiCare medics, Court House Fire and Cape May County Fire Police assisted with this incident. No charges were filed as of Sept. 15.
