ERMA– A Whitesboro man was arrested on Sun. Oct. 31, following a single vehicle crash on Seashore Road at 1:30 a.m., Lower Township police Sgt. Martin Biersbach said.
Harry Jones, 36, was allegedly traveling on Seashore Road when he lost control of his car on the 500 block and struck a utility pole severing it in half. Area residents who heard the crash came out to witness Jones flee the scene, Biersbach said.
Jones was located a short time later near Route 9 and taken into custody. He has been charged with driving under the influence, leaving the scene of an accident and other traffic violations, Biersbach said.
