Victim Trapped in One-Vehicle Wreck

WOODBINE — On May 24, shortly after 4 a.m., Woodbine Fire Department, Belleplain Emergency Corps and N.J. State Police were dispatched to Route 550, just east of Petersburg Road for a single-vehicle accident with entrapment.
When first responders arrived, they found a pickup truck into the woods with one victim entrapped.
Paramedics were requested to the scene and a Medevac helicopter was requested.
Dennisville Fire Department was also requested to assist with the extrication and landing zone assignment.
The victim was airlifted to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center City Trauma Division. Extent of injuries was unknown.
Troopers of the Woodbine Station are investigating the accident.
No further information is available.
