Vehicle Strikes Pole and Catches Fire

RIO GRANDE – 36-year-old Atlantic City resident Christina Wilson was driving eastbound on Wildwood Blvd. just before 7 a.m. Oct. 10 when she lost control of her vehicle, a black, Mercury Milan. Wilson’s car left the road and struck a utility pole.
Witnesses say passerby pulled Wilson from the vehicle and brought her to safety.
“The vehicle caught fire and was fully engulfed as fire personnel arrived,” said Middle Township Police Cpt. John Edwards.
No injuries were reported.
