Vehicle Hits Tree in Burleigh, Driver Injured

BURLEIGH– One person was injured on Wednesday, Aug. 25, when a vehicle left the roadway and collided with a tree here on Indian Trail Road.
Middle Township EMS and fire units were dispatched to the scene with AtlantiCare paramedics at 1:30 a.m.
A MedEvac helicopter was requested to airlift the driver who suffered a head injury as was reported to be going in and out of consciousness however all aeromedical flights were grounded due to weather at the time.
The driver was transported to the trauma unit at Atlanticare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City.
The crash is under investigation by Middle Township police.
