Vehicle Hits Pole on Fulling Mill Road, Driver Airlifted

RIO GRANDE— Traffic on Fulling Mill Road was backed up today when a vehicle struck a pole just before 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27.
The Rio Grande Rescue Squad, Atlanticare Paramedics and Rio Grande Fire Department, were dispatched to the scene with units from Lower Township.
South Star medevac was requested to airlift the victim reported by the helicopters dispatch services to be intoxicated.
The flight crew reported the victim to be a male in his 60’s in stable condition with chest trauma.
The crash is under investigation by Middle Township Police.
