UPDATE: Still No Sign of Occupants in Tuckahoe Boat Crash Investigation

TUCKAHOE — State Police Marine Division personnel June 29 at noon still had not located a boat or its occupants after a resident here reported the sound of a crash at a dock the evening of June 28.
According to Sgt Bird of the NJSP Marine Division Bivalve Station troopers arrived on scene and continued to search and were unable to locate the boat. They confirmed debris left at the scene.
On Saturday, June 28, after almost two hours of investigation into a report of a possible boating accident here, by 10 p.m. June 28 authorities had turned over further investigation to the State Police Marine Division.
The investigation was prompted by a 9-1-1 call from a residence on the Tuckahoe River.
Just after 8 p.m. New Jersey State Police, Tuckahoe Fire Department and Upper Township Rescue Squad personnel responded to 565 Route 49 for a report of a boating accident. The 9-1-1 caller reported hearing a crash at the dock behind the residence. When the caller went to investigate they were unable to find the boat and called for help.
State Police and Fire Department personnel arrived to find debris scattered around the area and confirmed they also were unable to locate the boat.
Several rescue boats were launched from Scenic Riverview Campground about one mile down the river, including one with a search and rescue K-9. After almost two hours of searching they were unable to locate the boat.
