UPDATE: Runnemede Man Critically Injured in Swainton Rollover Crash

SWAINTON — Michael Nace, 34, of Runnemede was reported in critical condition after a one-car accident in which his car struck a utility pole, then rolled over on Route 9 and Whiting Lane about 12:04 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 30.
According to Middle Township police, who were alerted by a 9-1-1 call and whose Crash Investigation Team responded, Nace’s car was traveling south on Route 9 at milepost 15.5, when he swerved onto the right-hand shoulder before crossing back across the northbound lane of Route 9, and struck a utlity polce.
The car then flipped before it came to rest on the driver’s side, and trapped an unconscious Nace.
Middle Township Ambulance Corps, Middle Township Fire Department and Media 9 responded to the scene.
Nace was reported to have been extricated after 10 minutes, and was transported to the Cape May National Guard Armory by Middle Township Ambulance Corps and Medic 9.
South Star medevac air -lifted the victim who was reported to be a male in his 30s who was unconscious and unresponsive. He sustained head and chest trauma, and was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City
There were no other occupants in the vehicle.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by Patrolman Jason Sweitzer and Detective Allan McClure.
