NORTH WILDWOOD — Police are requesting the public’s assistance identifying a vehicle that was involved in a hit and run accident with a pedestrian at the intersection of 4th and New York avenues at around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, Sept 27.
The victim, was identified as Angela M. Bishop, 37, of Sicklerville.
According to witnesses, Bishop was crossing the intersection when she was struck by a large, black SUV with a chrome grill and chrome wheels. The witness states that the windows of the SUV were tinted with the exception of the windshield and front driver and passenger side windows.
After the collision, witnesses reported that the suspect vehicle continued to travel south on New York Avenue and then turned eat on 5th Avenue. The vehicle would have suffered front-end damage, specifically to the hood and grill as well as the driver’s side headlight.
Bishop was transported by North Wildwood Rescue Squad to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City. Currently she is listed in critical but stable condition.
