OCEAN CITY– Firefighters were called to the 4th Street beach just before 6 p.m. for a reported near drowning on Sunday.
Bystanders pulled the swimmer from the water unresponsive and started CPR according to radio reports.
Police arrived on scene a short time later and also reported CPR was is in progress and requested an Automatic External Defibrillator or AED.
Ocean City Police Department spokesmen Lieutenant Steven Ang said the victim regained a pulse shortly before being transported.to Shore Memorial Hospital in Somers Point.
The victims identity has not been released. Ang said the person was still in the hospital receiving treatment.
