UPDATE: North Cape May Woman Injured in Dump Truck Crash

OCEAN VIEW — State Police are investigating a crash that occurred here at 507 Sea Isle Blvd. on Monday, Feb. 9 at 8:44 a.m.
The crash involved a 2002 R.E. Pierson construction Mack dump truck driven by John Sharp, Jr., 60 of Mullica Hill and 2008 Kia Spectra driven by Christen Otter, 28 of North Cape May. Otter was trapped in her car for an unknown amount of time.
Medevac 5 was requested to fly Otter to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center’s trauma unit in Atlantic City with back and lower leg injuries.
According to State Police, Otter was trying to make a left-hand turn at a stop sign on Sea Isle Boulevard. The dump truck driven by Sharp struck the side of her car and the two vehicles wedged together.
Sharp had the right away according to Trooper Randy Wetzel.
Belleplain Emergency Corps, Medic 9 and Ocean View Fire Department responded to the scene with Troopers from the Woodbine and Bass River stations.
The accident is under investigation by Trooper Randy Wetzel at the Bass River Station.
