UPDATE: Motorcyclist Condition Improves After Route 347 Crash

By Harry B. Scheeler Jr.

DENNISVILLE — The condition of a motorcyclist who was airlifted to the trauma unit at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City has improved state police said Saturday evening (June 5).
According to police, Raymond Liddy, 66, of New Port Richey, Florida, was traveling north on Route 347 with three other motorcycles. A teenager who was also traveling north pulled over onto the right shoulder to make a u-turn. Police said the first three motorcycles had passed. The teenager, whose name is not being released, did not see the fourth motorcycle operated by Liddy and turned to make the u-turn. Libby then impacted the car and was thrown over the hood.
Initial reports were that Liddy was unconscious on the scene, however police said when they arrived he had regained consciousness and was talking.
The crash is under investigation by Trooper Bukula.
