UPDATE: Motor Vehicle Crash on Bayshore Road; Victims’ Names Released

VILLAS— Members of the Lower Township Police Department responded to a one car motor vehicle accident on Bayshore Road near Charles Street, in North Cape May on Sept. 9 at 12:09 p.m.
Upon police arrival, they found a minivan had crossed the center line and had run off the roadway, striking several trees, with the two occupants briefly entrapped inside. The driver, Tara Wyatt, 24, of Cape May Court House and her three year old son both sustained mild abrasions and contusions and were subsequently flown by helicopter to Cooper Medical Center for treatment and evaluation. They were both listed in stable condition.
The crash is still being investigated.

A motor vehicle crash was reported at 3000 Bayshore Road on Sept. 9.
There are two victims, one child and one adult. Their names have not yet been released.
According to Captain Thomas Beeby of the Lower Township Police Dept., the accident occurred at 12:09pm. “A 27-year-old female had a few cuts on her forehead and was flown to Atlantic City Medical Center for precaution,” Beeby said. “Her son, a 3-year-old infant was flown to Cooper Hospital [in Camden] for a minor bump on his forehead, also a precautionary measure.”
The accident occurred on Bayshore Rd. between Breakwater and Fisher. The car was headed northbound on Bayshore when it hit a tree. Beeby said, “There is still some conflicting info but it appears that the car may have swerved into the opposite lane.”
The car was wedged between two trees. Captain Beeby stressed that there “were no fatalities.”
