GREEN CREEK – A motor vehicle crash at about 11 a.m. Nov. 13 near Lomurno Lane and Route 47 resulted in injuries to multiple victims, two of them children.
The investigation revealed a red Ford mini van, driven by Nora Torrado, 38, of Wildwood, was traveling north on SH 47 when it was struck by a Silver Chevy Silverado. The Chevy, driven by Vincent McBride, 78, of Green Creek, was on Lomurno Lane and turned into the mini van, causing the crash.
Six patients were transported to different hospitals, five of them were airlifted from the scene. McBide was airlifted to Atlanticare Medical Center in Atlantic City. Torrado was transported to Cape Regional Medical Center, and four passengers from the mini van were transported to Cooper and Atlanticare Regional Medical Center.
Extent of injuries was unknown. Two advanced life support units also responded.
Southbound traffic was diverted at Indian Trail Road and Route 47, and northbound traffic was diverted from Bayshore Road at the Route 47 intersection.
Responding to the scene: Middle Township police, Green Creek Fire Department, Middle Township Emergency Medical Service with three ambulances. Court House Fire Department was dispatched to the landing field.
