By Press Release

COURT HOUSE — On Thur., Oct. 14 at 11:22 a.m., Middle Township police received a 9-1-1 call of a motor vehicle crash, with injuries, at the Riggins gas station, located on Route 9.
Patrol officers along with Middle Township Rescue Squad, assisted by AtlantiCare Medic 3, responded to the scene to find that a two-door red Pontiac, driven by Marie Katarynak, 85, of Court House, accidentally backed into a garage bay door, where Greg Kubiak, 24, of Cedarville, was working on a tire. The impact pushed Kubiak through the bay door, into a pile of tires, police said.
The victim was rushed to the National Guard Armory, where he was then flown to AtlantiCare Medical Center, by Southstar. The extent of the victim’s injuries was unknown, but he was conscious and alert when he was removed from the scene.
At 7:00 p.m. Middle Township Police reported that Kubiak signed himself out from the E.R. There is no final word on what injuries he did suffer, but has since departed the hospital’s care.
The crash remains under investigation by Cpl. Crawley, and DFC McClure and Det. Osmundsen, of the Major Crimes Unit.
