UPDATE: Driver Ejected From Vehicle in Court House Crash Charged With DWI

UPDATE: Middle Township Police identified Timothy Broughton, 34, of Court House, as the driver of the crash. Broughton was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, failure to wear seatbelt and failure to maintain a lane.
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendant is considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.

COURT HOUSE – Members of the Middle Township Police Department Patrol Division responded to Shunpike Road in the Cape May Court House section of Middle Township in reference to a motor vehicle crash Thursday, May 7 at 8:55 p.m.
It was discovered that a vehicle traveling southbound on Shunpike Road left the roadway, struck a tree and then overturned back onto the roadway. The driver, a 34-year-old male from Court House, who was the only occupant in the vehicle at the time of the crash, was ejected from the vehicle. He was taken to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City.
The crash is currently under investigation.
