By Harry B. Scheeler Jr.

TUCKAHOE — A child was airlifted to Cooper University Hospital Trauma Center in Camden by MONOC Air One following a serious crash on Woodbine Road at mile post 7.
The Upper Township Rescue Squad, Tuckahoe Fire Department and Atlanticare Paramedics were dispatched to the scene at around 3:10 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept 8.
According to state police, Jeanette Whipp, 28, was traveling southbound when she lost control of her vehicle crossing over the shoulder and into the grass. The vehicle then struck a utility pole severing it in half.
Whipp’s four-year-old daughter was airlifted to Cooper and her one-year-old son was transported by ambulance to Shore Memorial Hospital for examination.
The incident is under investigation by Troopers Garvey and Inserra of the Woodbine station.
