ATLANTIC CITY —The Coast Guard searched for a 46-year-old female passenger of the cruise ship Norwegian Dawn after it was reported she fell overboard approximately 45-miles northeast of here on the night of May 11..
The Coast Guard was initially notified May 11 at approximately 8:21 p.m.
A Coast Guard helicopter crew from Air Station Atlantic City launched at 9 p.m., and arrived on scene at about 9:43 p.m. The helicopter crew conducted search patterns until 10:53 p.m.
An HH-60 Jayhawk rescue helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Cape Cod, Mass., arrived on-scene at 12:05 a.m., and conducted search patterns until 3:05 a.m. when it returned to base due to inclement weather.

In an unrelated case, the Coast Guard rescued two members of a sinking research vessel off Rehoboth Beach, Del.
Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City launched two HH-65 Dolphin helicopter crews at 3:50 a.m., and arrived on-scene at about 4:18 a.m.
The crews conducted search patterns for two hours before returning to base due to inclement weather.

ATLANTIC CITY — The Coast Guard rescued two people May 12 when the research boat they were on broke apart and took on water about 14 miles off the coast of Rehoboth Beach, Del.
The two people were aboard the research boat Russell W. Peterson when it started breaking apart and taking on water.
A Coast Guard rescue helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City hoisted both men, and transferred them to awaiting medical personnel at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Md.
Additionally, crews from Coast Guard Stations Cape May and Ocean City, Md., responded.
