Two Vehicle Crash Causes Delays on Parkway

BEESLEYS POINT– A two vehicle crash caucused delays here on the Garden State Parkway at mile marker 27.3 northbound at the base of the Parkway bridge at 6:40 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 30.
The Marmora Fire Department, Upper Township Rescue Squad, Somers Point Rescue Squad, Medic 8 and State Police were all dispatched to the scene.
The accident involved a Honda Civic and a Ford pick-up truck. The Honda collided with the center median before crossing over both lanes and colliding with the guardrail, coming to rest in the right lane.
Traffic was reduced to one lane as crews worked to clear the wreckage. Both lanes were reported to be open at 7:17 a.m. according to State Police.
At least one victim was transported to Shore Memorial Hospital in Somers Point for non-life threatening injuries.
The accident is under investigation by Troopers at the Bass River Station.
