Two Men Struck by Car in Rio Grande

RIO GRANDE — Middle Township police responded to a report of a pedestrian motor vehicle crash on June 7 at 11:32 p.m.
Rio Grande residents Joseph Marozik, 57, and Frank Cerbo, 35 were struck while were crossing Route 9, in front of the Rio Grande Wawa. The vehicle was driven by Vincent Capitani, 46 of Media, Pa.
Marozik was transported to Atlanticare Regional Medical Center, City Division where he is listed in critical but stable condition. Cerbo was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
The crash is being investigated by Ptl. Rich Sittineri and the Middle Township Crash Unit.
The road was closed to traffic while the crash was investigated.
Also responding to scene was the Cape May County Fire Police and Middle Township EMS.
