Two Injured, One Seriously In Ocean Drive Crash

TWO MILE LANDING — Two people were injured on Mon., Aug. 30 in a two-vehicle crash on Ocean Drive, according to Lt. Thomas Keywood, of the Lower Township Police Department.
The crash occurred at around 5:30 a.m. near the Middle Thorofare Bridge.
One victim was airlifted to the trauma unit at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City in critical condition. Keywood who did not immediately have the drivers name said he had a Skull fracture an was currently on life-support.
The second driver was taken to Cape Regional Medical Center.
The Erma and Coast Guard fire departments responded to the scene with the Lower Township Rescue Squad and AtlantiCare paramedics.
Due to the seriousness of injury of the one driver the Prosecutor’s office fatal accident investigation unit was requested to the scene to assist in the crash investigation, Keywood said.
