Turn Missed, Vehicle Overturns, Lands on Roof

RIO GRANDE — Four persons in a car that overturned escaped serious injury June 1 when the driver missed turning off at Exit 4 heading for Wildwood, southbound on Garden State Parkway.
The accident, at about 11:20 a.m. took place when the vehicle left the roadway, struck a guard rail then overturned. It landed on the right side of the highway on its roof.
Three adults and a child were reportedly in the car. All were out of the car shortly after the mishap, according to police.
Rio Grande Fire Department, Middle Township Rescue and Middle Township Police, along with Garden State Parkway State Troopers, responded to the call.
