WOODBINE– Three pedestrians were struck by a car in front of Smoky’s convenience store on Route 550 Wednesday night, according to Woodbine fire department officials.
One adult and two teenagers were reportedly struck crossing the road by a westbound Toyota.
The adult female reported to be in her mid 30’s was airlifted to the trauma unit at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City by MedEvac 5 with a non-life threatening leg and head injury, officials said.
The two teenagers were taken to Cape Regional Medical Center by Belleplain Emergency Corps. Their injuries were also reported to be non-life threatening.
All three victims and the driver were believed to live locally fire department officials said.
Troopers at the Woodbine station said no alcohol was involved in the crash which is under investigation.
